Natalie & Mark had their baby December 6th. Natalie is our niece. To see her blog go here.
This is Alexander, weighing 8 pounds 2 ounces, 21 inches long. Isn't he beautiful? I love the cowlick.
My cookbook is finally finished! I've ordered a proof copy, just to make sure everything looks right, but as soon as it arrives I'll order more. (Unfortunately, they won't come in time for Christmas.)
To see the recipes in it, go here. To see the company I'm ordering the books, click here.
The book:
softcover
7x7-inch
120 pages
56 recipes+a photo of each
If you live by me and would like a book, each copy will be $25.95. If you don't live by me, the price will be about $6 more (unless you order more than one, then the shipping will be less).
If you would like a copy, or are considering getting a copy but want to see the final book when it arrives, or just want to see the book, leave me a comment.
Tearsa had friends over for her 18th birthday this afternoon. I'm not much for writing nor for blogs; however, I wanted to publicly comment about this group of girls. They seem to me to be one of the finest groups of young women that could possibly be assembled. It was a wonderful experience to spend a little time with them and reflect back over the years. Each one of them has matured into a beautiful woman and each has an awesome personality. I am so very grateful that Tearsa has always had good friends to associate with and to be part of her life. I salute each of them and thank them for their friendship and example to Tearsa. Days like today certainly give a dad all of the satisfaction that could ever be expected.

This morning at 12:05 am I got an e-mail saying BYU has received my completed application and I would receive my admittance decision within 4 weeks. At 12:13 am, I received an e-mail saying that a decision had been reached! And I'm in!!!!
(Yes, I think this falls under the category of bragging, but Mom said it was okay, so pretend she is saying all this, not me.)
Isn't this a great birthday present!?!

There wasn't much snow, but it was still really cold:
